Cadence is active in the specialty coffee industry as a trainer and a judge.
Cadence was first exposed to coffee as a barista at Starbucks Coffee Company, before moving to the United States to pursue her tertiary education. Influenced by the vibrant and developed coffee scenes in the United States, she then decided to pursue a career in coffee and had never looked back. She is now a Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) authorised trainer, Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) licensed Q-Grader and World Coffee Events (WEC) certified judge for world barista, latte art and coffee in good spirits championships.
At present, Cadence is the owner and operator of Emery School of Coffee, a training laboratory and coffee lounge located in the suburb of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When she is not globetrotting with trainings or judging, she enjoys brewing delicious coffees for her patrons at her coffee lounge.
